Please read carefully before confirming your reservation.
These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between LDJ Travel & Cia (hereinafter "LDJ Travel", "we", "us" or "our") and the client (hereinafter "you" or "the client") for all travel services provided.
LDJ Travel & Cia is a local travel agency specialising in the Route of Emotions (Rota das Emoções) in northeast Brazil, covering Lençóis Maranhenses (Maranhão), Delta do Parnaíba (Piauí) and Jericoacoara (Ceará).
A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a written confirmation from LDJ Travel and the payment of the required deposit (see Section 3). Verbal agreements, WhatsApp messages or email exchanges do not constitute a confirmed booking until this process is complete.
By confirming a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
All confirmed bookings are personalised and reserved exclusively for the named client(s). Bookings are non-transferable to third parties without prior written consent from LDJ Travel.
⚠️ Please ensure all personal details (names, dates, nationalities) are accurate at the time of booking. LDJ Travel is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect information provided by the client.
All prices are quoted in Brazilian Reais (BRL). Payments may also be accepted in USD or EUR at the exchange rate applicable on the date of payment.
We accept the following payment methods:
All payments are confirmed in writing. LDJ Travel will never request payment via informal channels without a corresponding invoice.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing (email or WhatsApp) and are effective from the date of receipt by LDJ Travel.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation. LDJ Travel is not responsible for losses arising from unforeseen cancellations by the client.
In the exceptional event that LDJ Travel must cancel a confirmed booking (e.g. due to force majeure or operational reasons beyond our control), clients will receive a full refund of all amounts paid or the option to reschedule at no extra cost.
Changes requested by the client: We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate itinerary changes requested after confirmation. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional costs. Requests must be submitted in writing at least 21 days before departure.
Changes made by LDJ Travel: We reserve the right to make minor adjustments to itineraries (e.g. accommodation substitutions of equivalent standard, route alterations due to weather or road conditions) without prior notice. We will inform clients of significant changes as soon as possible and offer alternatives where appropriate.
LDJ Travel is not liable for costs arising from itinerary changes due to weather, natural events, strikes, government actions or other circumstances beyond our control.
LDJ Travel acts as an organiser of travel services and works with carefully vetted local operators, accommodation providers and guides. Our liability is limited to the following:
Clients participate in all activities — including but not limited to dune trekking, boat tours, buggy rides and water activities — at their own risk. LDJ Travel will provide full safety briefings prior to all activities.
Travel insurance is not included in any LDJ Travel package. We strongly recommend that all clients obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to departure, covering:
LDJ Travel is not responsible for any costs that would have been covered by adequate travel insurance.
LDJ Travel shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
In such circumstances, LDJ Travel will offer clients the option to reschedule or, where possible, a partial refund. A full refund is not guaranteed in force majeure situations where costs have already been incurred with third-party providers.
All content on ldjtravelecia.com — including but not limited to text, photographs, itineraries, graphics and design — is the exclusive property of LDJ Travel & Cia and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
No content from this website may be reproduced, distributed or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent from LDJ Travel & Cia.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, specifically the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Código de Defesa do Consumidor — Law 8.078/1990) and the Brazilian Civil Code.
Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Teresina, State of Piauí, Brazil.
The Portuguese-language version of these Terms and Conditions is the legally binding version in the event of any conflict or ambiguity with translations.
LDJ Travel & Cia processes personal data in accordance with Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD — Law 13.709/2018).
Data we collect: Name, email address, nationality, travel dates, preferences and any information voluntarily provided through our contact forms or WhatsApp.
Purpose: To plan and deliver your travel experience, communicate with you about your booking, and improve our services.
Retention: Personal data is retained for the duration of the booking and for a period of 5 years thereafter for legal and accounting purposes.
Your rights: You have the right to access, correct, delete or request the portability of your personal data at any time by contacting us at contact@ldjtravelecia.com.
Third parties: We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is shared only with service providers directly involved in delivering your travel experience (hotels, guides, transport operators) who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and fairly. If you have a complaint during your trip, please contact your coordinator directly via WhatsApp so we can address it immediately.
Post-trip complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days of your return date. We aim to respond to all complaints within 5 business days.
